Dear Blue Ribbon,
I wanted to thank you for all your help during my difficult workplace dispute resolution issue. It began when I, casually, disagreed with a supervisor who had been calling on my opinion for a while. I simply expressed a fact – the truth to a specific point the supervisor initiated. Unfortunately, it was during a unit meeting and apparently personal feelings outweighed the supervisor’s professional objectiveness. I had no idea that the situation would evolve into such a blatant form of retaliation. The very next day paperwork was issued against me that had nothing to do with the matter at hand. I began the dispute process during which the supervisor’s pattern of conduct was revealed to me, and the department, but my voice fell upon deaf ears.
The Blue-Ribbon Retaliation and Intervention Center came to my attention in the dispute process. It was a GOD send. Lieutenant Mario Munoz introduced himself. However, initially I was reluctant to have him assist me because he had been a major part of the disciplinary management apparatus. I thought maybe he and the company were looking for some quick and easy cases to build a reputation and that the company would likely lean towards the department because of his management history.
That was not the case. Lieutenant Munoz explained that he had become concerned in the way our agency had begun a practice of unfairly adjudicating disputes. He walked me through the process, identified “bumps in the road,” predicted the outcome, and how we would appeal each. Knowing is half the battle, and Lieutenant Munoz, although retired, is still very well informed, respected, and up to date on the processes at hand.
In the end my dispute was resolved, as he had predicted, and I was completely satisfied. More importantly, it was a relief to know and have Lieutenant Munoz in my corner and available 24/7. I recommend Blue Ribbon Retaliation and Intervention Center, 101%, without doubt or hesitation.
